one week riding and back to square one.

Today was day 7 of being back on Sam. I've been working him fairly hard and he's been fine, in the paddock and the indoor school. But yesterday he was really backward, really behind my leg and anytime I chased him up with the stick he backed off even more. Today when I got in in the paddock he was back to ears flat back and obviously uncomfortable, tried him in a flair saddle and he was exactly the same. Put him onto the lunge and he was fine so makes me think its something relating to when he carries weight. Will call vet tomorrow and get his back xrayed cause that was the next thing mark wanted to do if Sam deteriorated.
